Terms of Service

1. Overview of the Service

Disputix ("Disputix," "we," "us," or "our") provides an automated document preparation and submission service that assists users in preparing and submitting administrative parking ticket disputes to the New York City Department of Finance.

Disputix is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not represent users in any legal capacity. The service is limited to administrative parking ticket disputes only and does not cover criminal, civil, or court proceedings.

2. No Legal Advice / No Attorney-Client Relationship

  • Disputix does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal strategies.
  • Use of the service does not create an attorney-client relationship.
  • Any information generated by our system is based on user-provided data and publicly available administrative criteria and is for document preparation purposes only.

Users are solely responsible for determining whether to dispute a ticket and for reviewing and approving all submissions before final authorization.

3. User Authorization

By using Disputix, you expressly authorize Disputix to:

  • Prepare dispute documents based on information you provide
  • Submit those documents electronically to the NYC Department of Finance on your behalf
  • Receive and relay administrative updates related to the dispute

This authorization is limited strictly to document preparation and submission.

4. Contingency Fee & Payment Terms

  • Disputix charges 40% of the ticket amount only if the dispute is dismissed.
  • No payment is required if the dispute is denied or not dismissed.
  • Payment authorization is obtained in advance but charged only upon a successful dismissal.
  • Users agree that success fees are compensation for document preparation, automation, and submission services, not legal representation.

All fees are non-refundable once a dismissal is confirmed.

5. No Guarantees of Outcome

  • Disputix makes no guarantees regarding dismissal, reduction, or success of any dispute.
  • Prior outcomes do not guarantee similar results.
  • Each case is evaluated independently by the NYC Department of Finance.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree that:

  • All information and evidence you provide is accurate and truthful
  • You own or have the right to submit any uploaded documents or images
  • You will review all dispute materials before submission
  • You understand that false or misleading information may result in penalties from NYC authorities

Disputix is not responsible for consequences arising from inaccurate user-provided information.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Disputix is not liable for denied disputes, penalties, late fees, or enforcement actions
  • Disputix is not liable for errors caused by third-party systems or government platforms
  • Disputix's total liability shall not exceed the amount of fees actually paid by the user

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Disputix and its affiliates from any claims, damages, penalties, or expenses arising from:

  • Information you provide
  • Your use of the service
  • Any violation of applicable laws or regulations

9. Service Termination

Disputix may suspend or terminate access at any time, with or without notice, including for suspected misuse, fraud, or regulatory risk.

Users may stop using the service at any time prior to submission.

10. Compliance & Jurisdiction

  • The service operates exclusively for NYC parking tickets
  • Governed by the laws of the State of New York
  • Any disputes shall be resolved in New York courts

By using Disputix, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
